Awesome weekend

This is what an awesome weekend looks like for me:

Friday night watching a movie with Chris
Saturday morning running 20 MP miles on the Boston Marathon course, followed by a full fat latte and a 1.5 hour nap.
Working a little.
Tracking Angela and Charisa who rocked Oceanside 70.3
Cuddling and play time with Petru.
Dinner, game night and laughter with friends 'till after midnight.
Peaceful Sunday morning watching Petru play with his neighbourhood pals.
Swimming my first continuous mile! It was slow (43 min) but I did not try to go faster, I was in the zone, and could have kept going!
Watching Petru's soccer class.
This afternoon/evening: another nap shortly, followed by barbecue with friends in our backyard, and special mother-son movie night with popcorn and 'butter cups' (aka peanut butter cups) while Chris watches the Celtics game; tracking Maggs and Anne Marie who are doing Lavaman.
A little more (fun) work after Petru goes to bed while watching "Flight of the Concords" DVDs.

Sounds like a successful weekend. Its good to hear you take naps after long runs too. I always feel guilty about naps, especially on a nice day but they are so necessary after all those miles.

That does sound like the perfect weekend! Nothing better than a nap after a 20-miler. And lucky you gets to do it on the Boston course!!

20 miles at MP on the course? That sounds great. And then a nap? perfect....

You are my new running Idol!! I have not run 20 MP miles yet much less on the Boston course. Really-you have made such amazing progress in your training and I think you are absolutely going to rock Boston. If you can run 20 at MP in a training run, add race adrenaline and I bet you knock off 10-15 seconds per mile. I've put in the miles but not the speedwork to contend for a major PR this time around. Hoping to finish Boston and then start vamping it up and working on getting faster over the summer! Glad you went for full fat and rewarded yourself with a nap!!
