E21 triathlon team, update on saddle issues, chocolate & liqueur

E21 triathlon team rocks, and I am I part of it! How awesome! I am really excited about this for many reasons, some of which being:
* I believe in natural electrolytes and you can't get more natural than E21 pills (unless you want to carry with you bananas, salty pretzels, and a ton of other fruits and veggies).
* Although I get a lot of support from blogland, it will be special to be part of a triathlon team to share training stories and advice.
* I get free stuff, I love free stuff.

Saddle issues are much, much better already. I think I am passed the initial shock. Chris was a little concerned when I told him about my problems last night...lets just say he wondered how this will impact..."things" (he knows my priorities!). I was a little concerned myself given that the bike was rather expensive. But today I managed to spend 90min on Slice, relatively pain free, all but 10 min in aero. I like quick progress. Slice and I are all good now!

Chocolate & liqueur
Those who know me are aware that I rarely drink alcohol. I never drink wine or beer. I don't like the taste. So last Friday our good friends brought these for dessert and left them with us.

.. After trying Grand Marnier, cognac, rum, ..,(yes, one or two per day) I am convinced that I did not like alcohol in the past because it was not paired with chocolate. Alcohol + chocolate = divine! Happiness in a chocolate bottle! Unfortunately I am down to 2 bottles of wiskey....hm, I hope Santa brings some more!

Triathlon team, sweeeeeeeet! I think that it is great for advice and all that stuff. I am sure you will enjoy it along with free stuff:)

How does tri bike riding compares to road bike riding? Is it that much different?

I do not drink alcohol neither, the taste is nasty. Even those sweet girly drinks, I do not like them. Even the chocolate does not make a trick for me.

Welcome to the team! Glad your saddle issues aren't so bad... and sorry. I'd rather drink a beer than have that nasty chocolate. I'm just a chocolate snob I think. Lol. ;)

Hahah, I could definitely see where chocolate would help the taste of alcohol - I must try that experiment to find out :).

That is AWESOME you made the triatlon team, so very very very cool! Free stuff rocks, but nothing like having support from the people you will be training with - you are going to gain so much!

Happy weekend!!! :)

- congrats on making the team

- My lbs has a saddle program, for $50 deposit, I can try any saddle for 2 weeks and either buy it or return it and try a new saddle and keep trying till I do find the perfect saddle, maybe your LBS has the same program

A couple thoughts in catching up on your blog!
1) riding the trainer always is harder on the lady parts bc you move less, get out of the saddle often if even for 10 sec.
2) Chamois butter
3) GOOD SHORTS with a good Chamois. you may shell out $100 or more but the Tri shorts will kill it down there if you are riding inside all winter. Sugoi is my fave.
4) Yay on the team, never tried E-21 just figure i get electrolytes all over the wazoo and my EFS is loaded but willing to be convinced!
5) I hate chocolate but ...Baileys? :)

Triathlon team - that is SO cool! you'll have to tell us more about the stuff, I might buy some when I'm in the US in April..

AS for the bike and the "issues" - good to hear you've got your priorities right and that it's all getting better..

And yes I too am feeling a bit lame about my secret santa present - nothing spectacular enough!

Why are thumbs up BAD???....
because Alberto Salazar doesn't like it! Ha Ha!

)it may be like coffee - one day it's good for you the next day it's bad, "just in case" it's bad, I try)

Congrats!

I must try the chocolate & liqueur too. I don't like wine, beer, or most mixed drinks, unless they are really sweet and have a million calories in them, and I don't like to "drink my calories" would much rather pizza and chocolate.

Triathalon team-EXCITING. Free stuff-ALWAYS good!!

BAAAAHHH on the saddle issues. Glad you seem to have gotten that taken care of!

I'm not a big drinker, joke about it more than I do it. Chocolate and Booze. Sounds like a recipe for disaster for me! Who knows what Santa might find if I started drinking whiskey!

Have a great weekend!
