* My eyes are closing and it is only 7:30pm. Tuesday is my toughest day, but pretty soon I am going to head into bed with "Unbroken".
* I came home from work today and the house smelled like fresh bread. Except the bread had 25 more minutes to get done, and I had to go for a run. I opened the bread machine and ripped a chunk of crust. It was delicious!
* At some point I would love to run a marathon in another country. Anyone interested?
* I almost wore shorts on my run today. The weather was beautiful, though it looked warmer than it was. Runners are coming out of hibernation in Boston! It's a great time to run!
* I may be running a 5K this weekend. I have not decided yet. I worry that my legs will fall off. Two more week, two more weeks!
* My son asked me which state would allow him to marry more than one person. Apparently he wants to marry 2 boys and 5 girls! He is pretty serious about it, teachers say...He also wants to marry me, by the way, but once we are married I will not be allowed to tell him what to do!
* My husband and I started a competition where we set out about 10 goals each for the week (household stuff that we have been procrastinating on) and the winner (person who accomplish the most) gets a prize (not to be mentioned here!). Guess whose idea this was? Unfortunately, I think I have been using most of my competitiveness for running...
* I think I finally beat that awful virus! Hurray!
* We saw The Black Swan over the weekend. I loved it! It reminded me of how much I love ballet! It also reminded me why I did not want to get into ballet when I had the opportunity!
* I read a blogpost the other day about goals and resolutions. It made me realize how content I am with my life now, and how I really don't have any major goals or things I want to accomplish. My first 35 years have been filled with goals, now I am mostly content with being content! I like that!

Yeah, for being content. I like to think that I achieve this a lot of the time. I try not to worry about things that "might" happen. I'm up for running a marathon in Ireland!
*I hope you are in bed:)
*I want some bread.
*Where do you want to run? After I sell a kidney, I'm there (I would love to do that too)
*Shorts-sick!
*I highly doubt your legs will fall off superwoman:)
*Hmmm-2 boys and 5 girls-might be a bit of drama going on there-that would be 3 boys and 5 girls. He needs one more wife...
*My husband and I shoot BB guns off the deck at targets for "favors"
*glad you're feeling better
*I love ballet. My family is way into the fine arts. My dad and his siblings were opera singers and my grandma a concert pianist. You thought about ballet?
*I'm glad your content. Such a great place to be!
Yay for fresh bread...yum!! I love that smell!
Woohoo for beautiful weather too! We had snow today, but it's supposed to be in the 60s later this week! :)
I haven't seen The Black Swan yet, but have heard that it's really good! I'm glad you liked it!
That's so awesome that you've reached your major goals and are content with how your life is going! I guess now you can just have mini goals :)
I do not know any awesome marathons abroad. I did (and not finished, stupid ITB) Paris marathon, I liked that one, it is a good sightseeing:) And I did (and finished) Nice-Cannes marathon. I loved it, it was along the beach almost all the time and you can jump in for a short swim afterwards, well, it is more like an icebath:)
I tell you what, when I heal my ITB, I will go with you to Berlin to get that sub-3hour, Berlin is fast.
Or an easy trail marathon, that must be fun!
Or you should do Bucharest marathon!
It is great that you are content with your life. Isn't that the ultimate goal?
I love this! And I love that you feel content with being content. This is what it sounds like with Jenn too in her last post. A good feeling! Ha! If your husband is anything like mine, I could probably guess what his "prize" would be. :) Ha! Your son sounds like such a little character! Love it! I would love a marathon somewhere that requires me to travel someplace cool! Oh, and isn't the Black Swan scary? I might have to go check again..I thought it was a horror film? Ha! But I'm way out of the loop with movies. Keep your random thoughts coming...they make me happy!
You sound so happy and content, at peace. I love spring and summer!! WE just has snow though... booo!
Tell your son that if he marries 5 women he's going to have 5x as much stuff to do... because wives require a lot of maintenance. ;)
Love this - being content most of all.
As for marathons abroad - come and run London. For the time being we can offer you (and Chris and Petru - not his wives and husbands) accommodation as well..
Like the favors idea. What I call a win/win.
My son used to want to marry me and believed the only thing standing in his way was that I was already married. Dang.
i love this post. umm i want fresh bread, and a baker to make it for me. as soon as it hits 40, im wearing running shorts for every run. i REALLY want to see black swan, but the boyfriend just isnt interested, so looks like i have to wait for on demand!
@ Petra, thanks, you are so sweet!
@Kim - yes, my husband hated the movie!
@Michelle - he picks his wives based on the type of toys they have; if they have trains, and he'll marry them!
Love that you are content!!
I'm content too. I spent a good portion of my life chasing goals, and now I feel like it's time to just enjoy...
Kaylee has trains. She has whole train set in her room and one where I run. She doesn't like boys though.
I would love to run a marathon abroad (maybe multiple). Two places off the top of my head are Rome and Tokyo. I'd also love to run some other marathons in the U.S. The San Fransisco marathon looks like fun.
We saw Black Swan too. It was good, but made me think about raising two girls. I sort of hope they don't seriously get into ballet. I think the pressure to be unhealthily thin and super athletic is ridiculous. I mean the main character in the movie is this amazing ballerina and never do you get the impression that she's happy. In fact, it's quite the opposite, she seems miserable.
@ Katie - I am SO GLAD I have a boy and won't have to deal with all the body issues. And yes, Nina seemed so frail and voiceless, and the only way she was able to be "black swan" was by making the story real.
I always love your random thoughts posts :)
homemade bread - jealous!
I ran Dublin in 2005 - FUN!
yes - run the 5k - it's a GREAT workout!
I can't wait to see Black Swan - it's on my list.
I want to RUN, and I want to RUN faster!
A friend and I have been talking about doing the Marathon du Medoc in France. Wine tastings along the way!

I don't think I've worn my long tights more than once or twice this winter... ;)
I am in! I def want to run a marathon overseas. London, Tokyo, ok I want to run more than one!!
LOL at Petru! Hmm cant think of any states, but you never know.
House-goals. That's a good idea, although I'd probably still slack on them too.
