Check out my heel strike! When I get tired my form collapses, still. Must work on that! And yes, I carry water with me in races (it was hot water for this one!)

These are pictures taken by my friend Sue! Thanks Sue! After the race I managed to find one of the advertised empty hotel rooms and wash up and change into my warm fleece pants!
Nr.1 male, Nr 2 female, me and Nr 2 male. Nr. 1 female who ran a 1:21 did not stay for the ceremony! Part of the prize was a 6 pack of beer, which made Chris's day (I don't like beer!).
Petru and Chris came to pick me up after the race. Petru had a hard time in the room bc "It stinks in here". Yup, not everyone got a chance to take a shower like mommy!

Love Petru's comment - nothing like a child to remind you of this stuff. What an achievement though - and I have the EXACT same compression tights. Fill them up a bit more though..
I love seeing race photos! I also had a horrible heel strike in my pics. What's up with that? I've worked so hard on getting rid of it, and I race and there it is again!

changing running form has been REALLY hard for me. I thought I was doing better, and then my recent half in New Orleans, there it was again - the high arms - URGH! I wonder if it will ever become a habit or become natural. I'll keep trying....

Race photos truly tell a good story, I think! You look like you were concentrating and working hard (I always look like death is a better alternative! :)). That's cool about the hotel showers, I've never heard of that before! Nice job, lady - very impressed, and HAPPY for you!!
I Love these! You look so determined!! Seriously, the "I am going to puke now face" coming across the finish line? I expected you to be licking a lollipop. C'mon!! Ha ha!! I love race pics that tell it like it is! My race pics near the end generally say I'm in labor, I like to tickle my own armpits, and the left side of my body is possibly paralyzed. Lots to work on!
